SCOTT C. HARTIN
Scott Hartin joined McKenry, Dancigers, Dawson & Lake’s civil defense team at the beginning of 2011. Scott was born and raised in Virginia Beach and attended college at James Madison University. After graduating cum laude from JMU in 2003, Scott joined the corporate sales team at Nextel and stayed with the company through its merger with Sprint. Scott oversaw the sale, coordination, and implementation of wireless voice and data applications to Fortune 500 companies and state and local governments.
Scott left Sprint to attend George Mason University School of Law in 2006. While at GMUSL, Scott studied law and economics and maintained a focus on telecommunications law. As part of George Mason’s legal clinic, Scott interned with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Fairfax County where he performed legal research, composed briefs, and tried cases as a prosecutor. Scott joined the Law Offices of Mark R. Dycio, P.C. in 2009 where he worked as both a law clerk and later as an associate. Scott's practice at the Law Offices of Mark R. Dycio, P.C. focused primarily on corporate and individual civil defense, with an additional focus on criminal and traffic matters.
When Scott is away from the office he enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends. He enjoys playing basketball, running, and reading, and has a particular passion for the game of golf.
